What the animals teach us.
The Lara Croft Worm. Pure IRC evil.
Justin Wilson died Wednesday. Cajun food will never taste as sweet.

I didn’t know that Icon Factory designed the icons in Windows XP. No wonder it looks better!
I think I understand why the Mac Jihad hangs on Steve-o’s every word … it’s the only way they get updates to save them from bad software. On this iBook, OsX isn’t that bad. I like it much better than Os 9.1. But resizing windows and selecting multiple icons is S.L.O.W. 10.1 will be annouced by Stevie tomorrow (maybe) so it will be for download soon. Or $20 on a CD. I can’t find a firm answer. Sigh. But it plays mp3’s well.
August Ice Pack is out. Some great work fron Ian Dale, Steven Stahlberg + more! Check out the Bob Ross quilt. I need to start drawing again …
E-lena is nice.
Here’s to quiet days …
I bough an iBook today. Lets see if I can get this think working in IE5/Mac now.
Thanks to Sha Sha Chu for sending me a screen shot!
Since Yahoo won’t allow any type of database driven sites for less than $150 a month (dedicated server), and I can’t figure out how to do XML transformations without any type of PHP or ASP (or etc…) – I’m getting as close as I can by using javascript. All of the media, links, listing and photo content is in an array. The functions parse the data and display it. The blogger is set up with a messed up template at blogger.com and is displayed with javascript. Basically I’m using innerHTML out the ass.
Anyhow, now that form and content are separate, I’ll be doing a few test interfaces. Different ui, but they all share the same 2 data files so the content will be easily managed. Here is the original version 4.
Oh! My. God.
Grafica Obscura: collected graphics hacks. Really cool stuff from SGI! Lumental Forums. awesome 2d and 3d art + artists discussions.
I still need a screen shot of this site in Netscape 6.1 or Mozilla on a MAC. Will a kindly visitor please send it here?
Thanks to Pixelsurgeon for the link!
Will a nice Mac Netscape 6.1 (or Mozilla) user please email me a screen shot of this site? I want to make sure it looks correct and I don’t have a Mac to test on. Thanks!
The interface at Emerica Skate appeals to me. Nice. From ThreeOh. Tomato Workshops. Stimul8.
From Slashdot: Squandering Our Technological Future: “I believe our country risks being thrown into a dark age of medical research. Biologists are at the threshold of the most important set of discoveries in history, and rather than teach and lead, our politicians react and follow a conservative few.” Amen.
I almost bought an iBook yesterday. When I find a good deal on one, I will. Cross browser + cross platform testing is expensive!
Added new music to the site. Also added a content browser for easier access to what’s on the site. It goes against the concept of the site, but it’s easy to use. It’s the *.* icon.
Microsoft is working on a new version of IE for Mac. Turns out that a beta of IE 5.5 was given out at Mac Hack 2000. In July 2000. Why the hell isn’t it out yet?!
There are now 16 random backgrounds. All of the Asian girls came from Usenet, if you were wondering. In the about section, there is a button to switch to a new image. View them all! :P Most were done quite hastily, sorry.
I looked at this site on the iMac at work, and it looks like shit. Never realized how horrible IE5.0 for Mac was. It’s very different than it’s
Windows counterpart. I need to fix that. I added extra warnings for the Mac IE folks.
Thanks to Sticking Out Tongues for linking me.
In addition to the Dilbert cube, IDEO also made a chocolate covered cherry. Check out the Identity Card Project (linked on the home page). And this thing looks more comfortable than the Aeron chair.
It’s TV’s Wil Wheaton!
Allergies + no more pop tarts + Mr. Rogers calling it quits. What a foul day it’s turning in to. (I never liked him anyway)
REFORMAT COMPLETE
New version, featuring a pain in the ass interface. Read the how to use (double click the “How” icon to the right) if you get stuck. Five random background images currently. I need to work on these. Just reload to see a new one. Also, I’m still having Mac problems, so I just turned all dragging off – that should fix it. Comments?
I really like Bland Consulting’s site. Oh my god! This is sooo sweet! Brittle-Bones (link from Pixel Surgeon). Josh Chuan has a nice portfolio. From Praystation, Levitated.
Wonderful little athiest commentary about the death of a recent R&B star. If you beleive in G(g)od(s) you’ll be offended. Article by my friend Debbie, who is also the president of UNCC’s free thought society.
Thanks to Karen at Design is Kinky for linking Kheavy!
Jonathan Yuen’s elegant site with nice Bryce work. If you haven’t seen it before, his Memoirs from Hijiyama is beathtaking.
Netzministerium: another design portal.
Pitfalls of editing clip art for marketing: The Register has a shot of a peice of Windows XP marketing material that shows a Mac (pre G3) running WinXP. I though such sillyness was reserved for BestBuy Sunday sales papers.
MS released Internet Explorer 6 and 5.5 service pack 2 early this week.
I’m going to make the test version I’ve been talking about Mode 13 version 5. I’m working on compatability, usability and cosmetic enhancements.
